Build and Paint: Individual involves Caliburn MIniatures building and painting model kits that you supply.You ship your kits to Caliburn Minaitures, and provide specifications of model options, such as weapon loadouts, head options etc. and Caliburn Miniatures builds your models as you want them.This can include 3rd party and printed parts provided by the Client.*Caliburn Miniatures then paints your models in your desired scheme, and to your desired Painting Tier.

MAGNETISATION
Caliburn Miniatures can Magnetise your models for you.This involves adding small neodymium magnets by drilling or augmenting parts of a model to allow for swapping components or robust storage.This can include magnetising bases for storage; magnetising for base swapping or swapping weapon loadouts.Please note that not all models are suitable for magnetisation due to assembly requirements. This can be discussed during the consultation.
REINFORCEMENT
Caliburn Miniatures can reinforce your models for you.This involves using brass rods to pin or replace parts to make models stronger to stand up to gaming and storage.This can include replacing plastic flight stems; long poles for banners; pinning models for assembly.Please note that not all models are suitable for some reinforcemnt due model design, assembly requirements, or loss of detail. This can be discussed during the consultation.

Your quote will show the total Commission Fee (The sum of Painting and Assembly and Optional Fees), your Deposit and Remaining Fees after the Deposit.You quote will detail:

During your Consultation, you will be given a draft quote with the standard Deposit Rate (50%) to review the fees and to give you the chance to make any ammendments, or alter the deposit rate and remaining fee invoices.

THE DEPOSIT
The Deposit is a pre-payment of a portion of the Commission Fee, acting as a down-payment which confirms the Commission and covers the costs of administration and the procurement of materials.For Painting and Build and Paint: Client services, the Deposit will be a percentage of the Commission Fee.The Standard deposit is 50%. However, Caliburn miniatures understands that for larger commissions it would be impractical to ask for 50% up front.You may choose a deposit rate to suit your budget.

REMAINING FEES
The Remaining fees are the Total Commission Fee minus the Deposit, and can be paid in one payment or in up-to 4 Invoices:

PAYMENT
Payments can be made through either PayPal or Stripe. PayPal is the standard method Caliburn Miniatures uses; however if you wish to make payment through means not accepted by PayPal, then Stripe can be used instead.
INVOICES
The First Invoice will cover the Deposit; and subsequent Invoices after this will cover the Remaining Fees.The number of Invoices you will recieve will be based on the payment scheme you choose, which will be discussed during your Consultation and Planning.Your first invoice will be sent to you within 7 Working Days of agreement of the Commission PlanInvoices for the Remaining Fees will be sent after Commission is Finished.
SHIPPING FEES
Shipping Fees will be covered by the Client for initial shipping of kits and models, for receiving the final commission, and for returned materials if the Commission is cancelled. The final Invoice will include the relevant Shipping Fees for the commission.If you wish to return the Commission for remedy, Caliburn Miniatures will cover the Shipping Costs for you (for UK clients).Caliburn Miniatures will always use a Signed and Tracked service with Compensation or Insurance that will cover the cost of the models and the Commission Service.
REFUNDS
Refunds can be offered for the Deposit up until the date where Work Commences. After work starts (i.e first layer of paint, first kit opened) the deposit becomes non-refundable.If you wish to cancel the commission before work starts, you will be refunded the Deposit and have any provided materials returned. You will be informed of a start date ahead of time so that you can plan ahead.Any paid Remaining Fees can be refunded if the Finished Commission does not meet the standards laid out by the Commission Plan and Agreement developed between you and Caliburn Miniatures.Caliburn Miniatures offers remedy for issues with Commissioned Work, and accepts returns to fix or amend issues.

RUSH ORDERS
Rush Orders add an additional 50% to the Commission Fee.This is to reflect the additional labour applied to completing a commission faster; to cover potential delays for other clients and for filling additional Commission Slots.

RUSH ORDERS
Rush Orders are available for Clients who need a Project completed in short notice; such as for tournament or club events; or for personal events like Birthdays or Holidays.Rush Orders are offered at the discretion of Caliburn Miniatures due to Rush Orders drawing upon time allocated to other Clients. Typically only one Rush Order is accepted at a time.Rush orders will also be considered based on the deadline for the Project. For instance a 'Very Large' project with a two week deadline will be rejected; however a 'Single Unit' may be accepted (depending on complexity etc.) See 'Slots' page for details.These details can be discussed during your Consultation and Commission Planning.Rush Orders are subject to the same conditions of normal orders; and will follow the same Commission Process as normal, but within a faster time frame. A Rush Order will not be shipped to you until all Remaining Fees are paid.

TIME
The Time to complete a Commission will vary based on model count, model complexity and the Painting Tier and Services Chosen.Furthermore, simultaneous Commissions being undertaken will add additional time to a Commission, due to time needing to be shared across Clients. All of these factors will be discussed and outlined during your Consultation and the development of a Commission Plan.Please view the table below for a rough estimation of time per model. Please note that these are not static figures, and are not binding. These examples are meant to reflect a generous time frame to complete a model, factoring variables like simultaneous commissions etc. As such the actual time may be significantly faster or slightly longer than the times listed, on account of commission complexity and time availability.

ADDITIONAL TIME
All Commissions have a standard 14 Working Days (112 hr) of additional time, to account for time spent outside of painting to complete your commission. This includes the photographing of progress pictures, administration, and additional material sourcing (if needed).This time can increase based on concurrent Commissions being undertaken, and events surrounding yourself and Caliburn Miniatures at the time of Commissioning. The amount of additional time will be at the discretion of Caliburn Miniatures.This will be discussed during your Consultation and Commission Plan.All times quoted are estimates, and Caliburn Miniatures will always aim to complete a project well within the quoted time. If any significant delays are to occur, you will be notified before hand.

PLANNING
During the consultation, Caliburn Miniatures will be in contact with you to develop a Commission Plan and Agreement, to ensure that your commission project fulfils your desired specifications.This plan will outline:- A Breakdown of all models and Painting Tiers for each model.
- Assembly and Weapon Options Specifications
- Optional Service Details
- The main colours of the scheme
- Secondary Colours
- Textures and Effects (if applicable)
- Freehand Specifications (if applicable)
- Basing Scheme
- Varnishing
- The estimated time of completion
- The Final Quote
- Payment Plan
- Signed AgreementOnce this Plan is complete, and both parties have agreed, you will be sent your first invoice to cover the Deposit and to book your Commission Slot..Throughout your Commission, Caliburn Miniatures will be in contact with you and send regular, weekly updates to ensure that the project continues to your specifications.If at any point you would like to make amendments, or change an aspect of the commission, you can of course do so. Major changes to the commission may require drafting a new plan, or payment plan. This will be discussed during the Commission Process.

COMMISSION SLOTS
Because Caliburn Miniatures is a solo Studio, Commission Slots are limited due to studio space and time availability.Caliburn Minaitures offers up to six (6) Commission Slots, and up to twelve (12) Waitlist Slots.Depending on the type of Commission required, larger Commissions take up more than one slot.

BOOKING YOUR SLOT
Your Slot will be Booked by developing a Commission Plan and Agreement and paying the Deposit.If enough Commission Slots are Open, your Commission will be started immediately.If there are no Open Slots available, you will join the Waitlist and your Commission will start once Slots are free.If there are no Waitlist Slots available, you will be notified when enough Waitlist Slots are available and you will be given the Commission Agreement and Deposit to complete. These slots will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.
RUSH ORDERS
A Rush Order will add an additional 1 Slot to a Commission. This is to free up space to ensure more time can be allocated to your Commission.A Rush Order can be any size. TheOnly one (1) Rush Order can be booked at any time. If there are no Open Slots, a Rush Order can be started regardless; however turn around time may be slowed other started Commissions of other Clients will still need time allocated.Typically only one Rush Order is accepted at a time.

COMMISSION PROCESS
The Commission Process is simple, and Caliburn Miniatures will be in contact every step of the way with updates, process pictures and feedback.
Consutation Phase
During your Consultation Caliburn Miniatures will work with you to Develope your Commission Plan, and provide draft Quotes to adjust your project to your needs and budget.Once your plan is complete, and you approve the Final Quote, you and Caliburn Miniatures will sign the Commission Plan and Agreement and your Commission Slot will be booked.
WORK Begins
Caliburn miniatures will prepare for your models arriving, or source models for you, and will paint any test models for you to review.Upon receipt of your models or kits, you will be given a start date to choose from. On that start date Caliburn Miniatures will begin to sub-assemble and/or prepare your models ready for painting.Once prepared, Caliburn miniatures will undercoat, basecoat, shade, layer and highlight your models to your specifications. Throughout this process you will be given regular updates and photographs.
FINALISATION
Your models will be based and varnished and fully assembled to your specificationsYou will be asked to confirm that your commission is finalised. Your models will then be phtographed and shipped to you.You will recieve your models, and caliburn miniatures may be in contact for follow up and feedback
